About Me
I discovered an early passion for photography in highschool when I was given the opportunity to take a course on the subject. Back then, digital SLR cameras weren't a thing so everything was captured on film. For me, the most exciting part was when we got to develop in the darkroom. From unwinding the film in complete darkness (any light exposure would destroy the images) to seeing them come to life before your eyes in the chemical solution. Only then did you find out if you got a good shot! Those were the good old days!
I didn't pick up an SLR camera again for many years. It was only after I got married that I regained my passion for photography. My wedding photographer ended up becoming one of my besties and I learned a lot from her. Learning how to shoot on manual mode set me up to understand lighting, depth of field and exposure. As a single mum with a full-time job, I don't get the opportunity to capture these moments as much as I'd like. But when I do, I am quickly reminded of how much I love this art.
